EARNED MEDIA

I’ve built relationships with and secured coverage in metro Detroit’s most prestigious media outlets. I’ve authored columns and op-eds, and placed them for others. My approach is focused on research and targeted pitching to ensure the best shot at meaningful coverage. During my tenure at Metro Matters, I’ve placed hundreds of articles promoting the organization as well as its programs, priorities, and policy positions.
SPOKESPERSON SKILLS
While good media relations often means elevating subject matter experts to share their knowledge, it also means being able to speak for the organization, serve as a source for media, and promote its interests effectively. I’m comfortable in the spokesperson role for print, digital, radio, and television, and I know how to weave Tweet-table sound bites into substantive, persuasive responses. Here’s a sampling of clips:

In addition to talking to the media, I’m skilled at public speaking including traditional speeches, serving as a panelist and a moderator, addressing government agencies, and more.
